Young, Morphis, Bach & Taylor, LLP is expanding its legal team with the addition of two attorneys whose backgrounds and credentials bring new perspectives to the firm's longstanding tradition of client service.
Elizabeth "Libby" Fadl and Kristen Croucher have joined the Hickory-based law firm, further enhancing its ability to serve clients throughout western North Carolina. Their experiences include appellate courts and national television production.
Fadl joins Young, Morphis, Bach & Taylor after serving as a judicial law clerk for the North Carolina Court of Appeals, where she gained firsthand experience with a wide variety of legal issues and appellate matters.
Raised in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado, and Washington, D.C., Fadl earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia, studying government, philosophy, and French. She later worked in higher education while completing her Master of Business Administration at Webster University National Capital Region.
She moved to North Carolina to attend Elon University School of Law, where she distinguished herself academically and professionally. During law school, Fadl externed with the Honorable Albert Diaz, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She also served as an Articles Editor for Volume 17 of the Elon Law Review and competed as a member of the Moot Court Board.
Outside the office, Fadl enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and biking, discovering local restaurants and live music, and making memories with family and friends.
Croucher brings an equally unique journey to the practice of law.
Originally from Oakland Park, Florida, she earned her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Theater. Before entering law school, Croucher built a successful career in theater and television, performing and working with regional theaters in Florida, New York, and Utah before transitioning into television production. She later served as a producer for programs on National Geographic and Disney+.
Inspired to pursue a legal career, Croucher attended the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. There, she served as a student emissary, became a member of the Board of Barristers, and competed on the nationally recognized UMKC Mock Trial Team. Her advocacy skills took her to competitions across the country, including the prestigious Tournament of Champions. Even after graduation, she remained involved with the program, returning as both a guest judge and coach during the Spring 2026 semester.
Western North Carolina has long held a special place in Croucher's heart. After years of vacationing in the region, she and her husband are excited to now call the area home. Together they enjoy kayaking, hiking, relaxing on their balcony, and spending time with their two cats, Andy and Kauai.
