

Tim focuses his practice on local government law, community association law, and civil litigation (with a focus on real property, estate, and business litigation). He currently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Hickory and Town Attorney for the Town of Valdese. In his practice, Tim routinely advises boards, both in the municipal and corporate setting, on matters of corporate governance in an effort to help them succeed by understanding the complex legal issues before them and by providing guidance through all stages of negotiating and structuring transactions and making decisions to meet their needs. When necessary, Tim will also represent and guide his clients through pre-litigation and litigation, always striving for the most efficient resolution.
Tim received his Bachelor of Arts from Lenoir-Rhyne University and his Juris Doctor from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. Tim has been rated by his peers as preeminent in his respective fields of law.
